A small bird with its head in the clouds

Swablu is a small, round, sky-blue bird Pokémon with a pair of wings that look exactly like puffs of cloud. It was introduced in Generation III, in the Hoenn region, and is classified as the Cotton Bird Pokémon.

Personality

• Fearless around people. Swablu will land on a person's head and settle there like a fluffy hat.
• Devoted to cleanliness. It cannot stand dirt and uses its wings to wipe and polish things.
• Careful with its wings. When they get grubby it heads to a stream to wash them.
• Seasonal. After a hard winter with little food, flocks move closer to towns in spring.

Famous Swablu and Altaria

• Winona, the Fortree City Gym Leader, uses Altaria as her strongest Pokémon.
• Lisia, the Contest star of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, performs with her Altaria, Ali.
• In the animated series, May nurses an injured Swablu back to health and helps it learn to fly again.
