Why Swablu
Three reasons to love it
-
Wings like cotton clouds
Swablu's wings are light, white and fluffy, like tufts of cloud. It looks after them carefully, and if they get dirty it finds a stream and washes.
-
Friendly to a fault
It is not frightened of people. A Swablu will happily land on someone's head and sit there, looking for all the world like a cotton-fluff hat.
-
A dragon in waiting
At level 35 this little Normal/Flying bird evolves into Altaria, a Dragon type with a beautiful singing voice.
The evolution line
Meet Swablu
The tidiest Pokémon in Hoenn
Swablu first appeared in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, fluttering around the routes near Fallarbor Town. It loves things to be clean, and uses its soft wings to polish whatever it finds.
Flocks spend the lean winter months away from people, then drift closer to towns when spring arrives. It is a gentle, common, easy-to-catch bird, which makes what it grows into all the more surprising.
